After a 4-year stint at the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Kristina Arriaga de Bucholz returned home to us in 2004. Before joining the Becket Fund originally in 1995, Kristina was an advisor to the U.S delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Commission for five years under three different ambassadors. She was also the Executive Director of the Valladares Foundation, an organization that helped Cuban political prisoners and defectors, where she coordinated the dramatic rescue of the family of a MIG pilot held hostage in Cuba.
Kristina now focuses on government relations and international conferences at The Becket Fund.
She has three young children. While they were asleep, she completed her Master's degree from Georgetown University in 2007.
