Paralegal/Legal Assistant
The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty is a non-profit law firm that defends religious freedom for people of all faiths. Becket is seeking a dynamic professional to provide paralegal services and research in support of its nationwide litigation practice.
Hours and Location: This is a full-time position in Becket’s in Washington DC. No remote applicants will be considered.
Requirements:

Willingness to commit to at least 2 years in the position;
-
Demonstrated commitment to defending religious liberty for all;

Ability to learn and follow and implement legal style guides (i.e. The Bluebook) with precision and accuracy;
-
Superb proofreading and copyediting skills;
-
Inquisitive, entrepreneurial, and analytical mind;
-
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced litigation environment;
-
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail;
-
Strong command of Office 365, Adobe, and Google Docs; and
-
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Responsibilities:

Prepare legal briefs and other court documents for filing;
-
Maintain electronic and paper files;
-
Draft correspondence; and
-
Communicate with courts, government agencies, clients and outside counsel.
