Megan Donley

Megan Donley joined Becket in 2018. As Next Generation Programs Director, her mission is to inspire and equip the next generation of religious liberty advocates through legal and non-legal fellowships, internships, and externships. Previously, Megan focused on government affairs in Washington, D.C., working with the Legislative and Executive branches of federal government, including their agencies, to highlight emerging issues in religious freedom through Becket’s litigation.

In 2025, Megan was appointed as a Visiting Supervising Attorney and Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School’s Religious Liberty Clinic, which is a landmark program that offers participating students a full-time, first-chair experience representing a diverse group of clients in legal disputes arising from a wide range of beliefs, practices, and circumstances.

Prior to joining Becket, Megan worked as a Staff Attorney in the United States Court of Federal Claims where she provided general counsel to the Clerk of Court on operations and case intake, coordinated the court’s pro bono program, and served as liaison to both the court’s Advisory Council and the Court of Federal Claims Bar Association. She got her start at the Court of Federal Claims as a law clerk to the Honorable Eric G. Bruggink, whom she served from 2012 to 2015.

Megan graduated summa cum laude from Regent University School of Law, where she was Articles Editor of the Law Review. She enjoys making music with her husband and playing with their children.
